How to turn your X5 to GPS navigator

You need this:

Hardware: X5, CF typr GPS card
Software: Garmin Que Ver. 2.90, GPSProxy 2.2c with GPSID

Note:
1. Ensure your X5 is in english version
2. Ensure you key in your owner info.

PPC2003 / WM2003 For Dell Axim X5

Important: This article is for education and experiment purposes.

How to upgrade the PPC2002 to PPC2003 / Wm2003 & give new life to your Dell Axim X5 PPC2002.

Step 1: Download the rom from external site by pressing 点击下载 (please insert keywords: Dell Axim X5 WM2003 Upgrade to search for the rom) the PPC2003 / WM2003 rom AO5, works for Dell Axim X5 rom AO2 English version
Step 2: Backup your X5 data
Step 3: Hard reset X5, press on / off button and soft reset button together
Step 4: Connect X5 to PC and connect the X5 power cord
Step 5: Unzip the file and click the Setup Exe. to update X5 to 2003, shut down all other programme (prevent computer hang) and leave the active sync unattend (useless at this momment), follow the screen instruction
Step 6: Wait for 20 minutes untill X5 2003 call you.
Enjoy the X5 2003

Note: Also go to dell official website to check out / download extra driver if you have any hardware supporting problem ie. cf card support etc.
